The new online entries system has proven a success after being used since early this year for swimmers to enter national meets.
Swimming New Zealand (SNZ) was pleased with how clubs and swimmers adapted to using the online system and look forward to being able to utilise this more making it available for all meets in New Zealand in the future.
The initial roll out of this tool has begun with clubs and regions with the Neptune Queens Birthday Meet that has entries due to close today having had its entries completed online. The next meet to have entries through the database will be the Hamilton Winter Meet being run by Swimming Waikato with these opening next week.
The process of setting up meets for online entry is an easy one and SNZ will work with clubs and regions on a one to one basis to provide the initial support required to be able to complete this.
Over the coming months more club and regional event entries will be able to be completed through the database and the feedback received from the administrators that manage these will be invaluable in providing support to administrators running entries through the database for future events.
Helpful hints for entering meets through the SNZ website or your MyPage can be found here.
The next major milestone with the website and database development will be the rollovers of membership come the 1st of July. Over the coming weeks detailed information will be released to clubs and regions on this process and what needs to be done to prepare for this.
