The 2015 New Zealand Swim Coaches and Teachers Conference recently took place in Rotorua and recognised a number of people for their contribution to swimming in the last year.
The three day conference included a Swim School Business Day, the opportunity for swim coaches to gain Bronze or Silver accreditation as well as an awards night.
Para-Swimming High Performance Coach Roly Crichton picked up two awards, Swim Coach of the Year and Swimmer with Disabilities Coach of the Year.
Also recognised at the awards was Swimming New Zealand’s Gary Hurring who received his Master Coach accreditation as well as Sue Southgate (Aquabladz New Plymouth) and Alastair Johnstone (Rotorua) who received their Gold License.
Speakers at the conference included staff from High Performance Sport New Zealand, Swimming New Zealand and international guests from Perth High Performance Centre and Swim Australia.
