New Zealand swimmers did not progress beyond the heats on day two of the World Junior Championships in Dubai.
Seventeen year old Bradlee Ashby was outside his best, finishing 11th in the 200m individual medley in a time of 2:04.31.
Laser Mt. Eden swimmer Gabrielle Fa’amausili had a fast start in the 100m freestyle heats. Turning at the 50m mark in 27.46 seconds, the 13 year old struggled on the closing lap clocking 58.92 for a 34th placing.
Day three sees Bobbi Gichard compete in the 200m backstroke and Michael Mincham in the 800m freestyle.
