Due to the unprecedented demand for spectator seating Swimming New Zealand is aware that there are still a number of parents who have not been able to secure tickets to see their children race or missed out on some sessions for the 2016 NZ Junior Championships.
After finalising last week’s ticket sales allocation we have now confirmed the number of remaining seats left in each session. We have worked with the facility operator to free up more space that will allow us to safely accommodate some extra seating on pool deck for swimmers and coaches. The objective of this was to open up further spectator seating in the grandstand and are pleased to confirm we have been able to do so.
To ensure as many people as possible are able to see their children race, and distribute the additional tickets as equitably as possible, we have requested clubs for an expression of interest for the number of additional tickets required by their members for each session. These newly available tickets will not be sold directly to individual members or parents, instead allocated to clubs to distribute.
In addition to the above, any parents or families that have not been able to secure entry to the facility, a ticket reallocation process will also be established. We will request that when anyone leaves a session, and does not intend to return, to notify door staff of their intention to leave and pass on their seat number, so that we can then reallocate to a person without a ticket waiting to go in.
Swimming New Zealand encourages you to contact your club if you are still requiring tickets to ensure your interest for tickets is noted.
