The Wellington Sportsperson of the Year Awards are quickly approaching and our Paralympic star Mary Fisher is a finalist for the 2013 Super Colour Sports Personality of the Year Award.
Mary won a whopping four medals at her debut Paralympics in London last year. The 20-year-old won gold in the 200m Individual Medley in world record time, as well as silver in the 100m Freestyle and 100m Backstroke, and bronze in the 50m Freestyle.
She also won the 2013 Swimming New Zealand People’s Choice Award and was shortlisted as the Athlete of the Month March 2013 by the International Paralympic Committee.
