All making their debut Commonwealth Games appearance at Glasgow 2014 is men’s 4x200m freestyle relay team members Mitchell Donaldson, Dylan Dunlop-Barrett, Steven Kent and Ewan Jackson.
The most seasoned members of this group, Steven and Dylan, both come from Coast Swim Club and attended the London 2012 Olympic Games where they were also part of the 4x200m freestyle relay team that placed 15th.
Now with two new men in the relay team they are looking to put together some great racing at Glasgow and get themselves to the finals.
The youngest of this group, Ewan Jackson, has previously represented New Zealand at the 2009 Australian Youth Olympic Festival, 2012 World Short Course Championships and two Oceania Championships (2010 & 2014).
Ewan made his debut for New Zealand alongside team mate Mitchell Donaldson in the team that travelled to Australia to compete in the 2008 Trans-Tasman Tri Series. However, Mitchell was the first of the two to become an AquaBlack after making the team for the 15th FINA World Championships last year in Barcelona.
Dylan will also be competing in the 200m, 400m and 4x100m freestyle events, while Steven and Ewan will also compete in the 4x100m freestyle and Mitchell will also compete in the 200m freestyle and 200m individual medley.
The 4x200m freestyle relay team also includes Matthew Stanley, with any of the five team members being interchangeable.
