Swimming New Zealand has announced the coaches for the Rio Olympics, filling the three positions as advised by the New Zealand Olympic Committee.
Swimming New Zealand talent identification and development coach Gary Hurring will be the head coach and will be joined by Graeme Laing and Thomas Ansorg.
Hurring is a former Olympian and has coached at many major events including as a coach at the London Olympics 2012.
Laing, from Matamata, is part of the coaching team for Lauren Boyle and Matthew Stanley, who are both based on the Gold Coast.
Ansorg is the head coach at North Shore Swimming, with Helena Gasson and Glenn Snyders both from the club. Ansorg has experience at top international level as coach of the New Zealand team at the Beijing Olympics.
The team will be managed by Mark Saunders, who has been the regular manager of the New Zealand team in recent years at major international meets.
