Para-Swimmers Nikita Howarth and Jesse Reynolds and Para- Swimming Coach Ken Nixon have been confirmed as finalists for the 2014 Parafed Waikato Awards Evening.
Howarth, who is part of the swim team for Glasgow 2014, and Reynolds are both up for the Junior Sportsperson of the Year Award while Nixon is up for Coach of the Year.
Athletes, volunteers, coaches and officials from across seven codes are represented at this years’ awards as the best that Parafed Waikato have to offer.
On Friday the 1st of August, SkyCity Hamilton will host the second Annual Awards Evening for Parafed Waikato.
With seven categories awarded on the night, Parafed Waikato will recognise the success and support of those people who are active in physical disability sport within the region.
The night will be hosted by Darren Mills with guest speaker Duane Kale (NZ Paralympian, Chef de Mission for Paralympic Games and current IPC Board Member).
