The sun has set on a successful campaign in the Bahamian capital for the New Zealand youth swim team after a week of competition which produced 7 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze medals.
Lewis Clareburt who has been the stand out swimmer of the team this week picked up three silvers medals earlier today. He set another NZ age group record with a time of 2:03.06 in the 200m individual medley, then backed up the performance with a 2:00.24 in the 200m butterfly. Clareburt then teamed up with Finn Kennard-Campbell, Ciara Smith and Laticia Transom in the mixed 4X100m medley relay, with the team swimming a time of 3.57.21 for another silver.
Clareburt finished the games with 7 medals all up.
Mya Rasmussen won a silver medal in the women's 200m individual medley, recording a time of 2:16.55, adding to the silver (200m breaststroke) and gold (400m IM) medals she won earlier in the week. Rasmussen also finished 5th in the 200m butterfly.
“It’s been an amazing experience, I’m stoked to have won three medals here and it’s been a really great place to learn and take on some of the best swimmers in the world,” said Rasmussen.

Laticia-Leigh Transom, added a bronze, swimming a time of 26.02 in the 50m freestyle, completing a full colored set of medals for the Aussie based Kiwi.
In other finals results today Callum Prime finished 5th in the 200m individual medley with a time of 2:05.05 and Madeline Falconer swam a 26.53 to finish just outside the medals in 4th place for the 50m freestyle.
