SNZ Australian Age Groups Rewards Fund - 2012

SNZ are pleased to announce that this year we will be increasing the rewards fund for the 2012 Australian Age Group Championships.

In 2011, we sent a virutal team to the Championships had a rewards pool of $6000.00 for those swimmers who finished in the top 8 in a final.

This year we have decided not to select a SNZ virtual team but instead increase the rewards pool from $6000.00 to $8000.00.

New Zealand swimmers who make finals and achieve top 8 placing’s will be rewarded. The reward fund will be distributed on a weighted scale, with medal performances receiving priority.

The following point scoring system will be used to determine the spread of this subsidy:

1^st place: 50 pts
2^nd place: 35 pts
3^rd place: 25 pts
4^th place: 12 pts
5^th place: 10 pts
6^th place: 8 pts
7^th place: 6 pts
8^th place: 4 pts

We challenge all our swimmers to race as fast as you can! We are just as good as our Australian friends and we have proven in the past we can beat them in the pool.
