Erika Fairweather (Neptune) has already been smashing through the week, she has not only qualified for the 2019 FINA World Junior Championships, but she has gained new National Age Records for the Girls 15 years 100m Freestyle with a time of 55.60s and the Girls 15 years 800m Freestyle with a time of 8:45.91s.

Fairweather was on top form yesterday as she got a third National Age Group record in the Girls 15 Years 200m Freestyle. She beat the record in the morning heats with a time of 2:01.94s, beating the record held by Sophia Batchelor in 2011 who had a time of 2:02.45s.

In the finals, Fairweather absolutely smashed her own record that she broke in the previous session, lowering her time to a phenomenal 2:00.01s. In addition to this, the time equals Carina Doyle’s (North Shore) 200m Freestyle swum at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
