Day four of the 2019 Aon National Age Group Championships saw Thomas Watkins (Capital) qualify for the 2019 World University Games in the Boys 18 Years 200m Backstroke with a time of 2:00.16s.

Zac Dell (Pukekohe) came second with a time of 2:02.76s which met the qualifying time for the 2019 FINA World Junior Championships. This will be the second event he has qualified in as well the Boys 18 years 100m Backstroke, which he won in a time of 55.63s on day one.

In third place was Luan Grobbelaar (Kiwi West) who made a time of 2:04.40s which was 0.56s off the qualifying time for the 2019 FINA World Junior Championships. However, he did make the time for Boys 17 Years 400m Individual Medley on day three with a time of 4:25.73s.
Quinton Hurley (Jasi Swim Club) qualified for the 2019 FINA World Junior Championships with his time of 15:46.86s in the Boys 17-18 Years 1500m Freestyle. Louis Clark (Aquagym) took second place with a time of 16:09.76s and Bronson Lloyd (Raumati) was third with a time of 16:13.71s.

Brearna Crawford breaks a fifth National Age Group record for the Girls 15 Years 100m Breaststroke with a time of Brearna Crawford breaks a fifth National Age Group record for the Girls 16 Years 100m Breaststroke with a time of 1:10.49s in the heats, which she lowered again in the finals with a time of 1:09.98s. Crawford will be swimming in the Girls 200 Individual Medley on day five, racing alongside Gina McCarthy (Hillcrest) who is also hoping to make time for the 2019 World Junior Championships.

It's a big year for New Zealand's 15 and 16 Years Girls - Erika Fairweather (Neptune) has quailfied for the 2019 FINA World Junior Championships and has so far broken three National Age Group records:
1. Girls 15 years 100m Freestyle with a time of 55.60s
2. Girls 15 years 800m Freestyle with a time of 8:45.91s
3. Girls 15 years 200m Freestyle with a time of 2:00.01s
Aimee Crosbie (United) made a time of 1:01.68s in the Girls 15 Years 100m Butterfly which was just 0.27s short of the qualifying time for the 2019 FINA World Junior Championships.
Lea Muellner (Raumati Raptors) has broken the National Age Record for the Girls 15 Years 50m Breaststroke with a time of 32.51s. Muellner is swimming faster than some of the girls in the 16 Years age group and also the 17-18 Years age group.
