Swimming New Zealand CEO Steve Johns is looking forward to another great week of racing.

“I’m really excited to welcome our national & international swimmers to the 2019 Aon NZ Open Championships. There will be an impressive line-up of talent competing, not only for national honours but also for a place on the Aquablacks team for the 2019 FINA World Championships in South Korea.”

“The opportunity to see New Zealand’s best swimmers in action is the highlight of the swimming year and includes the annual Legends Relay that will once again see some of New Zealand’ past champions competing against each other raising money for the New Zealand Swimming Trust.”

“The continued provision of free-to-air live streaming of all races will once again ensure that we can maximise the audience and reach of our pinnacle domestic event showcasing the best of the best and celebrating their achievements for all to see”
