2020 NZ Secondary School Championships

Swimming New Zealand and School Sport New Zealand are excited to announce that the sanctioned 2020 New Zealand Secondary School Championships will proceed as planned and take place from Thursday 20 – Saturday 23 August 2020, once again returning to Waterworld in Hamilton.

With Covid-19 altering sport across the country and particularly the current swimming season, Swimming NZ is eagerly anticipating the return of competition at the national level.
 
Entries
 
The opening of entries for the event has been postponed until Tuesday 7 July 2020, but individual entries will still close on Tuesday 28 July 2020 at 11.59pm. Schools will be asked to confirm entries after entries close. Athletes not granted permission from their school to compete will be withdrawn from the meet and fully refunded.
 
Ticketing
 
We will be releasing a limited number of 50 tickets per session to the public on 11 July 2020. Spectator tickets will be available for purchase through Eventbrite, a link will be available from our event webpage from 11 July 2020. Additional tickets may be available for sale on 1 August after entries close and we can confirm the number of remaining seats available.
