The start of something extraordinary

Kiwi swimmers miss out

Neither Nathan Capp nor Glenn Snyders managed to advance on the third day of heats at the FINA World Short Course Swimming Championships in Doha.

Capp clocked 3:46.19 to be 34th fastest in heats of the 400m freestyle, which was outside his personal best set at the national championships.

Snyders was 20th fastest in his least favoured 200m breaststroke, in 2:09.64 which was outside his recent best of 2:08.27 set at the 2011 world cup.

The North Shore swimmer, now based in USA, is back in action tomorrow in his favoured 50m breaststroke.
