Para-Swimming sensation Sophie Pascoe has been selected as a finalist for her fourth consecutive year in the Halberg Awards announced today.
Pascoe and fellow Para-Swimming teammate Mary Fisher are up for the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation Disabled Sportsperson of the Year award after both enjoying golden glory in the pool in 2014.
Pascoe, who has won the Disabled Sportsperson award the last three years, dominated in her performances at the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow collecting gold in the 100m breaststroke and 200m individual medley.
In the third year that Fisher has been nominated she racked up an impressive gold medal count at the Pan Pacific Para-Swimming Championships bringing home six of the nine gold that the team achieved.
Contenders in their category are Para-Skier Corey Peters and Para-Cyclist Emma Foy with pilot Laura Fairweather.
Award winners will be announced at the 52nd Halberg Awards at Vector Arena, Auckland, on Wednesday 11 February, 2015.
