The Epic Swim is an annual open water event run by Swimming New Zealand at Lake Taupo, New Zealand.
The first Epic Swim took place in 2010 and quickly became New Zealand’s most enjoyed and popular recreational swim, with events for the whole family.
The event continues to grow every year now attracting over 800 swimmers from around the country and the world.
The Epic Swim weekend also doubles as the New Zealand Open Water Championships, giving our recreational swimmers a chance to witness the best in the business as they battle it out for national titles.

The New Zealand Ocean Swim Series has grown over the years to the current portfolio of seven equally outstanding events, showcasing some of our most unique and stunning beaches and waterfronts.
